When I think of volunteering, I immediately think of selfless service, because there is a willingness to give something without an expectation of receiving something.

Many years ago, as a youthful, yet exhausted, volunteer at a retreat in Santa Fe, I was given a gift…a lesson in the real meaning of volunteering and selfless service. From that lesson, I realized that true service is answering a call of need in the moment, not when it is convenient.  And that call is always answered by a loving heart.

The Tucson Center is the heart center of the International Foundation of Bio-Magnetics (IFBM). Six days a week, the staff members who volunteer at the center willingly answer recipients’ needs to have relief from pain and stress.  Bio-Touch is the touch of love, given from the heart, and I think it is one of the most worthwhile ways to volunteer and serve.

I would like to acknowledge not only the Tucson staff members this month, but everyone who is practicing Bio-Touch in the world. Whether you are a Certified Practitioner, a family member, or a co-worker, you are doing volunteer work and giving selfless service every time you touch.

From my heart, thank you.
