Hiatal hernia is a condition in which part of the stomach sticks upward into the chest, through an opening in the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the sheet of muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. It is used in breathing. Bio-Touch, used as a healing touch therapy, can be a great complement to ease the discomforts of hiatal hernia.

Bio-Touch – a Healing Touch Therapy

Holistic health, in general, employs some sort of healing touch therapy. The Bio-Touch used as a healing touch therapy is unique because it uses butterfly-light touching to connect the mind, body, and spirit. Studies have shown that this simple touch healing technique can significantly reduce stress, pain and symptoms of disease. In an era when Western cultures have seemingly forgotten the health benefits associated with human touch, it appears that individuals are more frequently looking to use simple, alternative and complementary non- invasive approaches to healthcare .

Understanding Holistic Health and Wellness

Holistic Health and Wellness is an approach to life that addresses the body, mind, and spirit. Conventional western medicine health and wellness focus on the physical body but not the mind and spirit. The Bio-Touch healing touch therapy is unique in that both practitioners and recipients can employ this healing touch therapy with no formal training or religious belief requirement. Fundamentally, the Bio-Touch does not treat the mind, body, and spirit as separate components but rather they are treated as one intertwined organism.

The Bio-Touch Natural Complementary Health Approach

Bio-Touch, a healing touch therapy, provides individuals with a natural alternative health option that is unlike any other touch healing or therapeutic touch method. Specifically:

• Bio-Touch healing touch therapy is easy to learn — even children can learn and practice it effectively.

• Bio-Touch is a simple natural complement health therapy that has no hierarchy of authority, skill, or ability among practitioners. Every practitioner is equally effective regardless of whether the practitioner is performing a healing touch therapy for the first time or for the 1000th time.

• Bio-Touch may be used safely in conjunction with not only standard medicine but also other complementary and alternative healing practices.

• Bio-Touch is an effective healthcare technique even though it requires no specific state of mind, religious belief, philosophy, consciousness, meditation, ritual or special talent. In fact, because Bio-Touch is a natural alternative health therapy, the recipient does not even need to believe in Bio-Touch for it to be effective!

The mission of IFBM is to teach Bio-Touch, a healing touch therapy, as an application rooted in the universal principal of “Love thy Neighbor.” The goal of the technique is to alleviate both pain and stress as well as to support overall good health through all stages of life.

The Bio-Touch Simple Healing Touch Therapy Overview

Bio-Touch is a simple two-person healing touch technique whereby one person uses two fingers on each hand to touch specific sets of points on the other person’s body. The success of this simple healing touch therapy is in the combination of gentle, butterfly-light application of the practitioner’s two-fingers to the recipient’s correct body point sets. Bio-Touch is believed to activate the body’s own curative ability. As healing progresses, many people who initially have symptoms including pain, inflammation, and a decreased range of motion in affected areas begin to experience pain relief, inflammation reduction, and body motion improvement as well as a feeling of overall improved well being.

Bio-Touch Healing Touch Technique: The “Greeting”

Bio-Touch practitioners prepare themselves for the healing touch therapy by washing their hands and then “greeting” the recipient by touching two points – one below the breastbone and the other on the back of the neck. Bio-Touch is a natural alternative health technique, and is always performed with skin-to-skin contact. It is recommended that the Bio-Touch recipient prepare himself or herself by removing all clothing above the waist, except for the bra.

Bio-Touch Healing Touch Therapy Technique

After the “greeting” is performed, the healing touch therapy practitioner will touch up to 17 different sets of points on the recipient’s body. Gentle, gliding finger movements called “sweeps” are often used in the technique. Bio-Touch is designed to target specific points on the recipient’s body in order to address the individual issues of the recipient with the goal of reducing symptoms and promoting relaxation. Bio-Touch recipients have been known to experience stress reduction, pain relief, and inflammation reduction and the technique has been successfully used to address a variety of health concerns including:
