“Living with ADHD is like being locked in a room with 100 televisions and 100 radios all playing. None of them have power buttons so you can turn them off and the door is locked from the outside.”  ~Sarah Young

I remember how some of my friends struggled, years ago, when their children were diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They tried valiantly to make sense of it all, and find the best solutions for their children and themselves. Adding to their challenge was the fact that there wasn’t much information or support available back then.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder affects children and teens, and often continues into adulthood. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed behavioral disorder of children.

Scientists have still not reached agreement on specific causes of ADHD. Studies reveal that a person’s risk of developing ADHD is higher if a close relative has it, and the disorder is much more common in boys than girls. The scientific community generally agrees that ADHD is biological in nature, possibly resulting from chemical imbalances in the brain.

General signs/symptoms of ADHD in children:

  • the child is restless, overactive, fidgety
  • the child is constantly chattering
  • the child is continuously interrupting people
  • the child cannot concentrate for long on specific tasks
  • the child is inattentive
  • the child finds it hard to wait his/her turn in play, conversations, or when standing in line

The above signs may be frequently observed in children, and usually do not mean the child has ADHD. It is when these signs become significantly more pronounced in one child, compared to other children of the same age, and when his/her behavior undermines his/her school and social life, that the child may have ADHD.

Bio-Touch has been shown to ease the symptoms of ADHD. While not a substitute for standard medical care, Bio-Touch is an effective complement to mainstream medical protocols. And there are no negative side effects to worry about. Everyone, even children, can learn Bio-Touch!

The Bio-Touch organization is offering a workshop on ADHD at the Center in Tucson on Thursday April 26th from 6-8PM. Workshop attendees will learn the Bio-Touch points necessary to address the symptoms.

So come and bring your family and friends to the Center at 5634 E. Pima St. in Tucson. It’s so rewarding to share Bio-Touch, and you’ll feel great learning how to help others feel better! For more information or to learn about online classes, go to justtouch.com.
